Do you know the history of the Saint Côme Polyclinic?

On January 9, 2013, the newspaper “Le Parisien” published this article on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Saint Côme clinic.

“For a city the size of Compiègne, having a hospital and a polyclinic of this quality is rare,” observes Vincent Vesselle, the director of the Saint Côme Polyclinic in Compiègne.

A capacity of 72 beds in 1962

Created by George Woimant, on the family estate, the Saint Côme clinic opened its doors in November 1962. The surgical establishment then had 72 beds, including 15 maternity beds, and thus became the first clinic in the region.

But very quickly, the expansion was necessary. “It was done in 1978. But it was only in 1984 that Saint Côme became a Polyclinic with the opening of the dialysis unit. »

Pioneer in surgery

The Polyclinic continued to evolve and, in 1990, it opened one of the first ambulatory surgery units in France. “We were pioneers in this area,” confirms Vincent Vesselle. This was followed by the emergency department and a new operating theatre in 1995. “But very quickly, we found ourselves cramped.”

In 2009, the move from rue Carnot to square Jean-Moulin was recorded. The capacity increases to 247 beds, with a new modern technical platform.

Upcoming expansions

Today [for the record: in 2013], the establishment records nearly 1,300 births per year, 15,000 surgeries and 15,000 emergencies. “We also have a new extension project,” says the director. The creation of consultation offices linked to the medical centre, the development of outpatient surgery and the extension of the medical department are thus planned in these new buildings.

Our development owes a lot to the collaboration that binds us to the hospital. Otherwise, nothing would have been possible.

And great! Damien and Violette (two employees of the Polyclinic) decided to work with our agency. By the way, thank you for your trust !

Briefs are made in order to soak up the graphic atmosphere expected on the models. Our web designer has his work cut out for him!

Respect for the graphic charter, emphasis on the human element (essential in the medical field) and ergonomics with the utmost care.

The models (desktop version and mobile version) are sent for modifications and/or readjustments. Then comes the validation; Let’s Go for the integration on the pre-production and the development of the different features.

Damien and Violette have access to the pre-production, so they give us feedback as they go along. We adjust and then comes the upload!

Handing over the keys to the website (including transfers of rights) which is, by the way, manageable.
